Santa is my DAD!

Wasn't sure where to post this. But, this is my mOST favorite holiday and childhood memory.
When I was about 4 and my brother was just over a year old, my Dad took the job as the Mall Santa to help the family make extra $$$. Of course, back then, I didn't know this.
My mom took us to the Mall one nite when he was working. Get our picture taken and all that fun stuff. We wait on line and I guess my folks were all excited. I climb on my Dad's/Santa's lap and my mom puts my stupid brother (i can call him that even though he's 30 now he's my brother :lol: ) on Dad's other knee. Dad in his best "Santa" voice says "What do you want for Christmas Tina Marie" Well, I was just so excited that Santa knew my name, that I started rattling off all these toys. And Dad's listening. AND MY BROTHER, starts BAWLING. freaking out!!! and my DAd/Santa is freaking out saying "Hey buddy. Don't cry. C'mon pal. it's me don't cry" and I'm trying to keep Dad/Santa's attention telling him what I want and i'm mad at my brother for crying. :lol:. I was FOUR!! :lol:
So mom grabs john and I climb down. Get my candy cane and I'm a happy little girl. As we walk away I say to my mom "You know what Mommy. That Santa sounded an AWFUL lot like my Daddy." my mom cracked up. I still remember that. Even when my Dad walks around the house now say "Oh it's christmas time...bAH humbug" (he likes X-mas, just hates to admit it )

cool, my mom played santa when i was in head start. i still remember. it was for the school. i recognized her shoes and freckles. i am 23 and to this day she still claims it wasn't her. and she still signs her presents from santa.
i love christmas this board is getting me all hyped up and we have like 6months to go before christmas

My mother and I still buy separate Santa gifts and sign the tags "from Santa." (Although I will believe in the big man until the day I die!)
